COMPANY PROFILE The BALU & SONS (FORMERLY VIJAYA LIME INDUSTRIES) was incorporated in the year 2008. The year of commencement of business was also 2008. The company started manufacture of Lime powder in the year 2009. The licensed capacity of the plant was 500 tons of lime powder per month. During 2009, the company diversified into the production of Plaster of Paris. The installed capacity for the production of Plaster of Paris is 400 tons per month. Till 2009, the Company was manufacturing both Plaster of Paris and Lime powder in the same plant, distributing the production of the two, over certain periods in a year. During the last 22 years of its existence, BALU & SONS has diversified its activities to related areas by adding SNOW WHITE & ?KRISHNA? brand Gypsum based. Today, Plaster of Paris is one of the developing plasters in Southern India. We are also one of the largest Plaster of Paris manufacturers in India by production capacity. While the Plaster of Paris is primarily sold in the southern India, the Plaster of Paris enjoys demand in the market including states like Tamilnadu, Karnataka, and Kerala. The BALU & SONS is the only manufacturer, perhaps in the whole areas, producing Plaster of Paris from a raw material other than conventional limestone. The main raw material of Plaster of Paris is Gypsum powder. As it does not contain any magnesium oxide, the pop made out of gypsum is highly durable and superior in quality.
