Our Ferrum Cement is a special formulation of cement that adheres to the specifications of Russian Gost. These are primarily used to repair the baffle walls of blast furnaces of various steel plants.Owing to their high bonding strength, these can resist temperature ranges of up to 1400 C to 150 C and hence, are used for defective casting. Our cement enables the baffle walls to hold its place and allows it to withstand up to 1800 F. These are used as a proprietary material for numerous integrated steel projects. The physical and chemical attributes of our products are approved by MECCON, Ranchi. Their physical properties are as follow: Density: 2.5 gms/cx (min)Iron by weight: 72% (min)Combined iron by weigh: 78% (min)Moisture: 0.23% (max)NHCUi: 5% (max)Cold crushing strength: 300 kgm/crrTniin)CCSat800 c/2hre: 32 kgmcm (mm)Fusion point: 14 to 15 ConeSulphur: 1.3% (max)Shelf we when stored in shed: 12 months
Calcium aluminate cements are hydraulic cements made primarily from limestone and bauxite. The active ingredients are monocalcium aluminate CaAl2O4 (CaO Al2O3 or CA in Cement chemist notation, CCN) and mayenite Ca12Al14O33 (12 CaO 7 Al2O3 , or C12A7 in CCN). Strength forms by hydration to calcium aluminate hydrates. They are well-adapted for use in refractory (high-temperature resistant) concretes, e.g. for furnace linings.
