Trastuzumab for HER2-Positive Cancer.
Inj Trastuzumab 440mg
Inj Trastuzumab 440mg is a medication used to treat breast cancer that is HER2-positive (i.e., tumors that have an excess of the HER2 protein). Trastuzumab is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the HER2 protein and interferes with its ability to promote the growth and division of cancer cells.
The recommended dose of Inj Trastuzumab for breast cancer is based on the patient's weight and the specific treatment protocol being used. Typically, Inj Trastuzumab is administered intravenously (into a vein) every three weeks at a dose of either 6 mg/kg or 8 mg/kg, depending on the treatment protocol. For example, a patient weighing 60 kg would receive a dose of either 360 mg or 480 mg, respectively.
It is important to note that Inj Trastuzumab should only be administered under the supervision of a qualified healthcare provider who is experienced in the use of cancer treatments. The medication may cause serious side effects, such as heart problems, infusion reactions, and lung problems. Patients should be monitored closely for these and other side effects during treatment
