Our range of silicone defoamer is a silicone based non-alcoholic agent that is widely used in areas such as textiles, dye manufacturing, sugar and paper. The silicone defoamer manufactured by us prevents foaming and helps in maintaining the volume in the reaction vessel. Further, it can be easily mixed with water therefore it passes easily through the membrane filter without leaving a layer of film on it. This increases the life of the filter. All these benefits make our range of silicone defoamer an ideal choice over octanol. Technical Specifications: Appearance: Thick Milky White Emulsion Chemical Nature: Silicone Based Product Solubility in Water: Miscible in Water in Any Proportion PH: 5 7 Ionic Nature: Anionic / Nonionic Storage Stability: 6 Months if Stored in Cool and Dry Place Application: For best results, defoamer SE is diluted 3 to 5 times with water and sprinkled on the bath. It is ideal to use half of the emulsion before foaming starts to prevent foam formation and maintain the volume in the reaction vessel. Testing methodology: Add 50 ml of water and 5-6 drops of wetting agent or soap solution into a 100 ml cylinder. After making a foam by briskly mixing it up and down 100 times, add an earlier prepared mixture (2ml defoamer SE+8ml water) of defoamer and water having a 5 times dilution level.
