EID Parry pioneered the concept of setting up of a zero-waste integrated sugar complex having co-generation and distillery at their five plants in Nellikuppam in Cuddalore district, Pugalur in Karur district, Pudukottai in Pudukottai district, Pettavaithallai in Trichy district and Puducherryi in Tamil Nadu with a total crushing capacity of 15,800 metric tonnes of sugarcane per day.
In addition to Parry’s Pure Refined Sugar, White Label brand of sugar was launched to provide value for money to the consumers and as part of the company’s effort to meet the needs of different segments of the market. The company has introduced sugar sachets to meet the demands of institution customers.
The sugar division of EID Parry contributes to over 70 per cent of EID Parry’s turnover.
Down the line, EID Parry sugar division forays into sugar refining to produce value added products, besides co-generation of ethanol, alcohol etc. and has positioned itself as the second largest sugar producer of India.
