- Material: Aluminium
- Model Name/Number: DXZ ( 1.46)
A DXZ (1:46) limit switch is a high-precision angle limit switch for tower cranes and hoists, used to prevent over-travel by controlling crane movement within a set range. It features a mechanical memory control mechanism, a reducer with a 1:46 gear ratio, a strong zinc alloy casing for durability and oil/water prevention, and a protection class of IP55. Key specifications include a rated current of 3A, a rotational error of the memory cam under 0.3 , and an operating temperature range of -25 to +40 C. [1, 2, 3, 4] Key Features and Specifications
Type: Angle Limit Switch / Multi-function Limiter [1, 2, 3]
Gear Ratio (i): 1:46 [1]
Function: Prevents over-travel of crane hoist and other motion mechanisms [2, 4, 5]
Accuracy: Rotation error of the memory cam is no more than 0.3 [1, 6]
Protection: IP55 protection class, with a strong zinc alloy outer shell to prevent oil and water ingress [1, 2]
Operating Conditions:
Ambient Temperature: -25 C to +40 C [1]
Relative Humidity: No more than 90% [1]
Construction and Working Principle
The DXZ limit switch includes a high-precision reducer with a large transmission ratio (like 1:46), a mechanical memory control mechanism, and a sensor that is synchronized with the reducer's output shaft. [3]
When the controlled mechanism moves, the limiter's input shaft receives the displacement signal. [3]
This signal is then converted into an angular displacement signal by the limiter's reducer. [3]
When a preset angle is reached, the limit switch activates, stopping the motion or changing its direction. [3, 4, 7, 8]
Applications [1, 2]
DXZ limit switches are widely used in tower cranes and other construction machinery for controlling the lifting, slewing (rotating), and trolleying (horizontal movement) motions.
They are also suitable for other electromechanical equipment and automatic machines.
