Maize Starch Powder, also known as corn starch, is a fine, white powder extracted from the endosperm of corn kernels. It is widely used as a thickening, binding, and stabilizing agent in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications
The greatest quantity of starch worldwide is obtained from corn. The giants in the industry are now capable of processing up to 15,000 tons of corn a day. Complete process lines with decanters and separators from GEA Westfalia Separator Group are designed even for throughputs as high as this. Tasks include thickening the mill starch, primary separation, starch washing and dewatering, middling separation (starch recovery) as well as gluten concentration and fine fiber dewatering. Corn, corn grits, corn flour or CCM (corn and cob maize) / silage maize are processed.
