Background Health & Family Welfare department of Maharashtra Government provides preventive and curative healthcare services to states 112.3 million population through 12,977 facilities. The service Network of Health system works through a structured set of connections of Health facilities with Administrative and executive responsibilities lying at various levels from state, district, urban areas and talukas. Health Posts (in urban areas) and Health Centres (in rural areas) are the farthest arms of this service delivery system. The H&FW has various vertical segments responsible for diverse healthcare services provided to its citizens. Each segment collects data for its regular process monitoring.
