HELMCOLLOID Hydrocolloid Dressing is a sterile elastic dressing for low and moderate exuding wounds.
HELMCOLLOID Hydrocolloid Dressing is a sterile self-adhesive medical device, designated for indications such as venous leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (decubitus), superficial burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions.
HELMCOLLOID Hydrocolloid Dressing is elastic and adapts well to the affected body parts. When placing the plaster on the lesion the hydrocolloid induces a gelatinous structure with the ichorous to absorb the exudate without adhering to the wound surface.
With ist permeability to air and water vapour it is impermeable to exudate and microorganisms, so to keep the wound well protected in an optimal moist wound healing environment. The semi-transparent material of HELMCOLLOID Hydrocolloid Dressing allows the observation of the wound without the need to remove the bandage. This is especially suitable for monitoring the healing of pressure and leg ulcers as well as postoperative wounds.
As the dressing is waterproof, it allows the patient to bathe and shower without interefering with the wound healing process. Thus the dressing has not to be changed that often and breaking of sensitive skin is minimized. The healing process can mostly happen without interference.
Being state-of-the art HELMCOLLOID Hydrocolloid Dressing is a safe, economic and effective option for meeting chronic and acute wound requirements such as the preservation of a physiological healing environment by retaining moisture and render dressing changes as little traumatic as possible.
HELMCOLLOID Hydrocolloid Dressing is designated for the treatment of leg, diabetic and pressure ulcers, superficial burns, postoperative wounds and abrasions.Product benefits
