It is a closely held family business. Sandur is known to have some of the richest deposits of Iron Ore in the World and is a region pivotal to the development of mining, processing and export of Iron Ore in Karnataka.

The Hothur Group has been in the busines of Iron Ore Mining and Export for over four decades. The group has a capacity of nearly 7 million tons per annum (MTPA) and owns the following captive mines in the Bellary district:

• Mallangola Iron Ore mines, Sandur
• Vittalapura Iron Ore mines, Sandur
• Ramgud Iron Ore Mines, Sandur
• Kariganoor Iron Ores mines, Hospet
• Venkatagiri Iron Ore mines, Sandur

All our mines have a very potent ore output with 63-65% Fe content. The Group has world class equipment for all mining operations including development of the mines and feeding of iron ore to the process plants.
