Mode Of Action

Foratox has a strong systemic, contact and fumigant activity.
It is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, resulting into blockage in the transmission of nerve impulses in the insects.

Features

Foratox is a broad spectrum insecticide.
It gives rapid knockdown for longer duration.
Readily translocates through roots in the plant.
Economical to use.
Can be applied with minimum drift hazard.
Does not leave harmful residues in plants.

Antidote

Atropinize the patient immediately and maintain by repeated doses of 2 to 4 mg at 5 to 10 minutes interval till symptoms persist.
Administer 1 to 2 g of 2 PAM dissolved in 10 cc distilled water and inject intravenously (slowly taking 10 to 15 minutes).

Precaution

Do not spray against the wind direction.
Always wear protective clothing while handling.
Do not smoke, eat or drink during application.
Wash hands and body thoroughly after spraying.
