Jaspreet Singh Freelancer Artist born '1990' in Punjab , India . grew up his drawing skills from school days as he was mostly interested in air plane and auto mobile drawings. he wanted to be an pilot when he was young. as he grew up started to take interest in Art. his notebooks mostly got filled up with sketches from back side rather then his lessons .after school he got admission in Govt. College of Art, Chandigarh, he started to develop his Art skills and technique in painting and Drawing . as there was not much taught at the college he mostly learned from seniors and the internet . he got inspiration from artist like Scott Burdick, Kevin Bellfuss , David Kassan and other artists .
Mostly he paint what he sees, give life to colors and uses bold brush strokes in his paintings to reflect the feel and mood of the subject. he sees beautiful colors in his surroundings and also the light which changes every second, so he has to work fast to capture that moment and has to put his whole energy in his work and when it finished its like he has won a great battle after putting everything in it that he has learned. because Paintings can’t happen magically all at once. they must be done stroke by stroke ,thousands of brush strokes. Art happens in the mind of the person seeing them. Qualities such as excitement , inner fire and soul do not come in paint tubes. they only materialize when He use His skill to convert his fervor into bits of color, the way a pianist convey emotion through appropriate pressures on piano keys .
Jaspreet says ' In today's world everyone is in a hurry , nobody has time to see the beauty of nature and in the world they live but everyone need a break in their life to see what in happening in their surroundings . that's what an artist does .when they see something which attracts them , they start to feel its beauty and feels the colors emerging out of it .'
Plein Air- one interesting story about his starting plein painting is, when he was in art college he always read southwest art magazine in college library and get inspired by beautiful plein air artists works, he always wish to have a plein air easel for painting but it was not available in local Art stores and he try to find it on online stores but it was so expensive for him to buy plein air easel with so much shipping charges, one day posted a photo of plein air easel on his facebook and written on photo i wish to have this easel, then an Artist from Florida Gregory Little, gifted him a plein air easel and this is how he begin plein air painting in Punjab .
Automotive Art- Jaspreet Singh always love super cars and speed machines . most of the time a sound of a V8 engine race car running on a race track playing on his mind so he started working on a series of Automotive Art inspired by beautiful curves, body lines of the cars , V8 , V12 engines Turbo chargers Supercharges and Speed. the series of automotive art is shows his love for cars and bike and its dedicated to those who also Love cars .
He mostly works in oil colors, charcoal and pencil. His subjects mainly consists of Plein air, still life, Auto mobile and sometimes figurative or portraits.
