IndiaMART Payment Protection is a five-step process. It acts as a trusted medium and protects the buyer by allowing inspection of the goods before funds are disbursed to seller; and protects the Seller by verifying funds before initiating shipment.

No, there are no charges. It is free of cost service for both buyer & seller.
The buyer can pay through any of the following modes: Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, Wallets, NEFT, IMPS, and RTGS.
The invoice should be shared directly from seller to buyer & IndiaMART Payment Protection. IndiaMART Payment Protection is an intermediator & will not provide any invoice.
No, we currently don’t support milestone-based transactions, the entire payment needs to be paid upfront before the transaction moves forward. In case the transaction warrants milestone payment, each milestone will have to be created as a new transaction on the platform and payment will be released accordingly to the seller.

The buyer and seller mutually agree as to who bears the taxes, shipping cost and any government duties. The amount payable through IndiaMART Payment Protection is net of all these costs and deductions. IndiaMART Payment Protection will not do any such calculations and split payments at its end and simply transfer the total amount received to the Seller.
The transaction cannot be modified post payment. The existing transaction will have to be cancelled and a new one created once the payment has been processed. Only request for extension of delivery timeline is allowed post payment subject to its confirmation by the buyer.

Seller bank account information is required to make the payments directly into the account once the goods have been accepted by the buyer.
For the buyer the bank account statement is needed to make the refund transaction if any.
No, the seller bank account details will be recorded one-time at the time of on-boarding and will not be changed. Under exceptional circumstances, the seller may write to us separately for changing the account.
Funds are disbursed within 24-48 hours following the completion of the transaction. A transaction is completed once the buyer successfully accepts the delivery on the platform.
The seller is notified by IndiaMART Payment Protection to ship the items once we verify that the payment from the Buyer is received.

Buyers and sellers agree to an estimated delivery date at the time of transaction creation. However, an extension can be made if the buyer and Seller mutually agree on a new date and place and put a timeline extension request on the platform.
If the buyer did not receive the goods (goods still in transit) even after being shipped by the seller, the buyer needs to contact the seller negotiate a longer shipping period.
If the seller has not shipped the order before the agreed date, the buyer can always contact the seller to agree on a new date; or make a Refund Request.
IndiaMART Payment Protection does not track the shipments itself. It relies on the tracking ID provided by the seller and third-party data to track, wherever applicable.
Since the shipping methods are set up by the sellers, buyers are advised to directly contact the seller for more shipping information.
However, to enable IndiaMART Payment Protection to protect all parties, IndiaMART Payment Protection advises that shipment is sent via a method of shipping that allows online tracking and insurance. The party shipping the item can only ship to the address provided on IndiaMART Payment Protection platform for the other party.
Shipping address can be changed before the shipment. Shipping address cannot be revised after the shipment has been made.
If the goods are not delivered in time after the Seller has confirmed shipment, we advise buyer to contact the seller immediately for an extension to the Delivery Period.
Both the buyer & the seller can cancel the transaction any time before the shipment by informing IndiaMART Payment Protection.
In case of any problem with the product received, the buyer has 2 days from the date of delivery to raise a dispute with IndiaMART Payment Protection. Once a dispute has been raised, both parties have 15 business days to resolve the issue amongst themselves and notify IndiaMART Payment Protection of the resolution.
The buyer can raise a dispute after the shipment has been delivered by informing IndiaMART Payment Protection.
Once the dispute is raised on the IndiaMART Payment Protection (considered the Dispute Date), the buyer and seller have 15 business days to mutually resolve their dispute. Both parties should consent to the resolution and notify IndiaMART Payment Protection for action within such period.
If the buyer and seller have not resolved the dispute within the 15-business day Negotiation Period, IndiaMART Payment Protection is authorized to foreclose the transaction, refund the payment to the buyer and ship the products back to the seller.
In case of order cancellation, the money is refunded back into the buyer’s account within 7 business days.
IndiaMART Payment Protection will release funds to the seller at the end of three business days of delivery receipt, as long as the buyer has not declined the shipment by raising a dispute. Please note that IndiaMART Payment Protection will be sending repeated notices and reminders for buyer's participation during such period.
