Irinotel 40 mg Injection and similar 40 mg Irinotecan injections are prescription chemotherapy medicines containing irinotecan, an anticancer agent classified as a topoisomerase I inhibitor used primarily in the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer (colon and rectum cancer). It blocks the topoisomerase I enzyme involved in DNA replication in cancer cells, slowing their growth and promoting cell death.
