Product Description

The age-old saying "the bull is half the herd" holds deep relevance in dairy farming. Nowadays, the success rate of Artificial Insemination is just around 30% all over the nation; and therefore, it is highly imperative for dairy farms to focus on highly pedigreed bulls.
We are experts in supplying pedigreed bulls as well as bull calves of:
1. Murrah (Dams yield 4000+)
2. Bhadavari (Dams yield 1800+)
The Murrah, a basic native of the Indian states of Punjab and Haryana and Punjab state of Pakistan, is a Water buffalo breed (bubalis) and is considered as the foremost milking buffalo.
For improving the milk productivity of dairy buffaloes, Murrah bulls are widely used in countries like Bulgaria, Italy and Egypt.
The total overseas trade of India in dairy animals undoubtedly provides an immense economical fillip to the breeders of Murrah bull/buffalo. The demand of Murrah bull and buffalo is rapidly increasing in western countries due to lucrative business prospects and profitability in Murrah husbandry. Karamveer Dairy Farms has long been practicing Murrah Buffalo and Bull Breeding with the intent of improving Murrah breed's genetic potential.
The Murrah has Jet black colour, with occasional white markings on legs and/or face, and have closely curled horns. In general, Murrah bulls weigh around 550 kg.
Karamveer Dairy Farm has the best dairy type Murrah bulls and buffaloes in the world; with buffaloes capable of yielding milk as high as 25 kg a day. The Murrah buffalo breed is considered as the "Asian tractor", and in effect serves three core motives of animal husbandry—milk, meat and work.

Artificial Insemination

Artificial insemination (A.I.) is technique in which deposition of semen having living sperm cells is done into the female genital tract by making use of instruments. This has been found to result in a normal offspring. In this process, the semen is inseminated into the female by placing a portion of it in collected or diluted form into the cervix or uterus by mechanical methods at the proper time and under most hygienic conditions. Timing of insemination holds a crucial link in ensuring the maximum possible rate of conception.

Advantages of Artificial Insemination
  • The most effective method for livestock enhancement and impregnation in females
  • The Germplasm of bulls can be used for insemination in females regardless of their location
  • Reduced risk of genital and non-genital diseases and sterility in livestock
  • No maintenance needed for breeding bull of a herd; hence the cost of maintenance is saved
  • Progeny test can be conducted at an early age
  • The semen of a desired bull can be utilized even after the his death
  • It is helpful in case the animal is reluctant in standing or accepting the male during Oestrum.
  • Perfect breeding and cawing records can be maintained through AI
  • Improved rate of conception
  • Increased potential of genetic selection
