Product Description
Cefixime Dispersible Tablet IP is an antibiotic medication used to treat bacterial infections.
Active Ingredient: Cefixime (50mg or 100mg or 200mg)
Inactive Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and purified water
Description: A white to off-white, round or oval-shaped tablet with a smooth surface, dispersible in water
Indications: Cefixime Dispersible Tablets IP are used to:
- Treat bacterial infections like pneumonia, bronchitis, and urinary tract infections- Treat typhoid and gonorrhea- Treat ear and throat infections
Dosage:
- Adults and children above 12 years: 200mg to 400mg once daily- Children between 6-12 years: 100mg to 200mg once daily- Children below 6 years: consult a doctor for dosage
Precautions:
- Allergic reactions to cefixime or cephalosporins- Concurrent use with other antibiotics or antacids- Monitor for signs of allergic reactions, diarrhea, or yeast infections
