Commercial Laundry Dryer

The automatic tumble dryer is a device that removes moisture from a load of clothing, bedding, and other textiles after they have been washed in a washing machine. Automatic tumble dryers are made up of a rotating drum known as a "tumbler" through which heated air is circulated to evaporate moisture while the tumbler rotates to maintain air space between the articles. The hot, humid air that results is typically vented outside to make room for more air to continue the drying process.

The design of a tumble dryer consists of a rotating drum, which contains coils that form an internal passage for hot air to flow through. The temperature and humidity are maintained by forcing warm air into one end of the drum and forcing cool air out at its other end. By adjusting these two factors, it can be made to operate at different temperatures and humidity levels.
