• The surface area where E-mix Mortar is to be applied must be clean and free of dirt and grease.
• Pre wet the block before applying the adhesive.
• To prepare applicatory wet mix, take 25-30% water with 70% powder (which is 10 - 15 Its, of water for 40 kgs of E-mix).Mix it well to get a homogeneous, lump-free mixture and ensure no powder is left unmixed at the bottom.
• Place the first line of blocks on a concrete slab using traditional cement mortar and apply E-mix mortar the reafter.
• Special care should be taken to make sure that adhesive spread on the block does not form a superficial film. If this is the case,a fresh layer of the mix should be applied.
• E-mix should be applied in a thin layer to ensure uniformity of thermo insulation of the blocks being laid.
• Plastering can begin after 24 hours of constructing the wall using an appropriate product such as E-mix plaster

Notes:

If the blocks are laid directly on the floor with possible humidity, it is recommended to apply a proper damp course system first. Spray constructed wall with water before applying the plaster. Make sure that the first layer of blocks laid is properly fixed with perfect alignment. Do not apply E-mix mortar in high humidity, pressure and stormy weather conditions. Do not apply on surface that has a temperature less than 5°C During summers, working area should be covered to prevent sun damage. Keep equipments cool and use cool water. The product should not be exposed to flowing water during application. E-mix Mortar bags can be stacked up to 8 bags high maximum.
