Black Rice (Karupp Kavuni) is grown and eaten in the Indian subcontinent for at least the past 7000 years.  Yureka's Black Rice is procured directly from farmer groups that grow crops in natural, sustainable, and traditional methods. At our "Yureka Processing House" factory, first dust, impurities, and stones are removed using De-stoner and Aspirator machines, then the good quality rice and broken rice are separated using a Grader machine. Finally, the clean, fresh, and healthy unpolished rice is packed hygienically for better shelf life to deliver to our customers. Our Black Rice contains more dietary fiber, protein, iron, Vitamin B1, and other minerals content than regular white rice.

Black Rice (scientific name: Oryza Sativa) is highly nutritious and may be beneficial for health: Carbohydrates=73.93%, Lipids= 3.41%, Fibre=3.83%, Protein= 9.15%. Black Rice reduces cholesterol levels, blood pressure level, the risk of type 2 diabetes, helpful for the heart and inflammation in the walls of blood vessels. The rich source of fibre helps in clearing out the toxins from the stomach and helps with regular bowel movements.
