Phosphoric Acid

Phosphoric acid is a colorless, odorless phosphorus-containing solid, and inorganic compound with the chemical formula H₃PO₄. It is commonly encountered as an 85% aqueous solution, which is a colourless, odourless, and non-volatile syrupy liquid.Phosphoric acid is a corrosive acid that can form three different classes of salts, namely primary phosphates, dibasic phosphates and tribasic phosphates. Phosphoric acid is soluble in water. It is incompatible with strong caustics and it is corrosive to ferrous metals and alloys.
